Built to feel the ground

Our barefoot shoe for dirt, rock and creek

Most trail shoes stack foam under your heel and squeeze your toes, so your foot can't feel what it's landing on. The Gibber does the opposite: a 0 mm drop, a thin flexible sole and a foot-shaped toe box, so your foot reads the ground and adjusts before you roll.

Underneath sits a lugged, multi-directional tread with a wrap-around toe bumper. On top, a breathable mesh upper that dries on the move and quick-pull laces you can sort with cold hands at the trailhead. New to barefoot? Build up slowly: short runs first, longer ones as your feet and calves adapt.

  • Two rolled ankles last year in big cushioned runners. Now I see the roots coming on Mt Coot-tha.

    Jess, Brisbane QLD

  • My barefoot sneakers slid on wet granite. These don't. Same feel, actual grip.

    Marcus, Fremantle WA

  • Expected the usual cheap barefoot shoe that falls apart. Six weeks of kunanyi creek crossings, still solid.

    Dale, Hobart TAS

What's under your foot, and why

Made for dirt, rock and creek

feature-01-2x1.png

Multi-directional lugs

Grip for loose ground

Lugs angled in several directions bite on gravel going up and scree coming down. Flex zones under the forefoot and midfoot let the sole bend where your foot bends.

feature-02-2x1.png

Foot-shaped toe box + toe bumper

Toes that do their job

Your toes spread and grip instead of being squeezed into a point. A rubber bumper wraps the front, so a stubbed rock stays a non-event.

Quick-pull laces + mesh upper

Sorted in one pull

One pull on the toggle and you're locked in, no double knots, no laces undone halfway up. The mesh upper breathes on hot days and dries on the move after a creek crossing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the sizing run?

Order your usual EU size. The wide toe box gives your toes room to spread, so there's no need to size up. Unsure? Measure your foot length and check the size chart.

I've never run in barefoot shoes. Where do I start?

Start with walks and short easy runs, 2-3 times a week. Add distance as your feet and calves adapt; most people need a few weeks. Sore calves early on are normal.

Can I run technical trails in these?

Yes. The lugged sole and toe bumper are built for gravel, mud and rock. Because the sole is thin, you'll feel sharp rocks. That's the point, but pick your line.

Do I wear socks with them?

Your call. Thin socks or bare feet both work with the wide toe box. Toe socks work best: every toe gets its own space, so nothing bunches or rubs.

Are they waterproof?

No. The upper is breathable mesh, so water gets in on a creek crossing and dries out again as you move. For long wet days, pack a spare pair of socks.

How do I clean them?

Knock off the dirt, rinse with cold water and air-dry out of direct sun. For the machine: cold, gentle cycle inside a wash pouch like the Folks WashGuard.

What if they don't suit me?

You get 30 days money-back and free shipping within Australia. Wear them on your own trail; if they're not for you, send them back.

What about returns and shipping?

30 days money-back (sizing swaps aren't covered, so use the guide). Shipping is free Australia-wide.

How long does shipping take?

We offer free shipping within AU. Standard delivery takes 5–12 business days. You’ll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships.
