Folks Terra Yellow on a coastal boardwalk at golden hour

Feel the ground again — anywhere.

Barefoot underfoot. Land or water.

End of a long day on hard floors, or halfway across a rock shelf with the tide coming in — that’s where ordinary shoes let you down.

Thick, cushioned runners lift your heel, cramp your toes and turn into sponges the second they get wet. Your feet never actually get to work.

The Terra flips that: a zero-drop, foot-shaped sole lets your toes spread and grip, a five-toe rubber outsole bites into wet rock, and drainage holes plus quick-dry mesh mean water runs straight out.

For the ones on the concrete all shift, the ones switching off the cushioned runners, and the ones out at the rock pools at first light.

Toes free. Water gone. Ache gone.

  • Room across the front at last for my wide feet — and they dry out fast after the beach.

    Denise W., Perth WA

  • Flat, zero-drop, and the toes actually grip — my lifts feel completely different.

    Jason P., Sydney NSW

  • Was sceptical a thin, flat sole would help. Two weeks on and the 5pm ache is gone.

    Margaret D., Bendigo VIC

The Terra difference.

Five things that earn their keep.

Folks Terra side profile on a flat baseline, level zero-drop sole

True 0 mm zero-drop

Level from heel to toe

No stacked heel, no ramp — heel and toe sit flat at 0 mm. Your foot lands level and works the way it’s built to, so the load spreads instead of piling onto your heel. It’s the barefoot fix a raised, cushioned sole can’t give you.

Wide, foot-shaped toe box

Room for every toe

Most shoes squeeze your toes to a point. The Terra is shaped like a foot, so your toes splay and grip the ground — the fix wide feet and bunions have been chasing.

Five-toe anti-skid drainage outsole detail

Five-toe anti-skid drainage sole

Grips wet rock

The rubber outsole splits into five toe-lugs with an anti-skid tread and drainage holes right through it. It bites into wet rock and gravel — and lets water flush straight back out.

Folks Terra folded to show flexibility

Soft, foldable, keeps its shape

Rolls into your bag

Fold it in half and it springs back. Toss a pair in a gym bag or daypack and they take up almost no room, then hold their shape wear after wear.

Quick-dry air-layer mesh upper and bungee toggle

Quick-dry mesh + bungee toggle

On in seconds, dry in minutes

The light air-layer mesh breathes and dries fast after a soaking, and the bungee toggle cinches tight with one pull — no bending, no laces. Step in and go.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly does this do?

The Folks Terra is a zero-drop barefoot shoe with a wide, five-toe sole and a rubber drainage outsole. Your toes spread and grip naturally instead of being squeezed, and because the sole drains, you can wear it on land or straight into the water.

Won’t a thin, flat sole hurt more, not less?

It’s the opposite for most people. Thick, raised heels change how you land and load your joints. A zero-drop sole lets your foot sit flat and your toes splay, spreading the load the way barefoot walking does. Ease in over the first couple of weeks.

Can I actually wear these in water?

Yes — that’s the point. The rubber outsole has drainage holes and the air-layer mesh dries fast, so rock pools, kayaking, the pool deck or a river crossing are all fair game. Rinse, shake out and go again.

Will they be wide enough for my feet or bunions?

The toe box is foot-shaped and genuinely wide, so there’s real room across the front where normal shoes pinch. If you’ve got wide feet or a bunion, this is the fit you’ve been after.

What size should I order?

Barefoot shoes fit snug on purpose. Measure your foot length and check the size guide — if you’re between sizes, size down one. Note: White-Purple and Rose Red only run to EU 42.

Are they sturdy enough to train in?

Yes. The five-toe outsole grips for squats, deadlifts and functional work, the reinforced toe takes a knock, and the flat base gives you a stable platform to drive from.

How long does shipping take?

We offer free shipping within AU. Standard delivery takes 5–12 business days. You’ll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships.

What if I’m not happy?

30-day money-back guarantee. Full refund, no questions asked.
